Today, Congressman Josh Riley (NY-19) is standing up for Upstate New York’s dairy farmers, announcing his support for three key bipartisan measures to boost family farms and lower costs.

Congressman Riley, a member of the House Committee on Agriculture, is cosponsoring the Dairy Farm Resiliency Act (H.R. 294), the Fair Milk Pricing for Farmers Act (H.R. 295), and the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, his office announced today. The three bipartisan bills will strengthen dairy farm resiliency, ensure fair milk pricing, and expand milk choices for children in schools.

“Dairy farmers are the backbone of our rural communities and local economy. But for too long, Upstate dairy farmers have been getting the short end of the stick while big corporations rake in record profits. Enough is enough,” said Congressman Josh Riley. “I’m proud to support these commonsense, bipartisan efforts to help level the playing field, stop price gouging, and give kids more access to nutritious milk in schools. As a member of the House Agriculture Committee, I will always stand with our dairy farmers and be a voice for Upstate’s small family farms.”
