Today, Congressman Josh Riley announced two new bipartisan initiatives that he will  lead in upcoming negotiations on the Farm Bill. Riley’s proposals will direct funding to the rural communities that need it most and ensure the next generation of producers has the support they need to continue Upstate New York’s proud agricultural legacy.

Today, Congressman Josh Riley announced Private First Class (PFC) Sadie Lincoln as his guest for Tuesday's joint session of Congress address by President Trump.

PFC. Lincoln is a lifelong resident of Otsego County. She attended Lauren’s Central School and earned a paralegal A.A.S. from Herkimer College. In 2023, following in the footsteps of her grandfather, US Army Command Sergeant Master (RET) Gary Flarehty, Sadie enlisted in the Army. She is a Human Resources Specialist in the National Guard 206 Military Police Company. PFC. Lincoln and her son Maben reside in Oneonta.

This week, Congressman Josh Riley (NY-19) signed on to The Protecting American Agriculture from Foreign Adversaries Act, a bipartisan bill that would protect Upstate New York farmland from foreign land grabs by US adversaries like the Communist Chinese Party (CCP). 

“I’m sponsoring this bipartisan legislation because we need to stop the CCP from buying American farmland and preying on Upstate New York's family farms," said Riley. "Our bill will strengthen national security and preserve Upstate’s critical role in feeding America.”

Binghamton, NY - Today, Congressman Josh Riley (NY-19) launched the Upstate Agriculture Advisory Board to provide advice, recommendations, and input for Rep. Riley’s work on the U.S. House Agriculture Committee.  The Upstate Agriculture Advisory Board is made up of farmers, producers, elected officials, and local stakeholders from across New York's 19th District.

Today, Congressman Josh Riley (NY-19) and a bipartisan group of members, including Congressman Paul Tonko (NY-20) and Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17), introduced the Weatherization Enhancement and Readiness Act to take on utility monopolies while creating good-paying union jobs and lowering energy costs for Upstate New Yorkers.
